Etcho is a UK-based mobile app that helps family offices and pension funds understand the impact of their investments on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Harnessing modern approaches to data, Etcho helps advisors discover what their clients uniquely value, tell personalized sustainability stories, and create impactful portfolios.

Their tools guide advisors through the sustainability landscape and prepare them to seize opportunities within a quickly shifting investment landscape — combining education for advisors and clients, values-aligned investing options, and a hyper-personalized experience through relatable impact stories that inspire more sustainable portfolios.

The challenge

Data focused on corporate impact on the UN SDGs can be highly diverse and complex. With a large array of potential data vendors to choose from for their investment platform, Etcho required a complete evaluation of their options — along with recommendations that would best suit their business requirements.

What we delivered

PPWA completed a detailed audit of vendors, developed a comparison of features and data, and made clear recommendations. Once Etcho selected their vendors, we also built the impact calculations for use in their product — complete with data examples and a documented methodology.

Recommend

The results

Using PPWA's recommendations, Etcho became complete in their use and understanding of SDG data. This enabled them to ship an enhanced product version for their customers, inform and enhance their product roadmap, and secure new rounds of funding from investors.
